Because the popular Chung Wah chicken rice at Jonker Street is closed we asked our grabcar driver for recommendations. And she suggested this place which is a favorite among the locals.
It’s further from the tourist area but indeed we were probably the only non-locals there.
Delicious with good chilli, no crazy queue and no attitude. We will be back.
Oh, chicken for 2 with 20 rice balls and 2 coffees cost RM13.80. An extra chicken drumstick was RM3.80.
Apparently, Chung Wah is closed (for a month now) because they had evaded income tax (based on one local source) or because Hard Rock Cafe had bought over their building (said a second local source). No one knows if they will be opening again.
